New Year's Day - January 1st
All of our resorts really know how to celebrate New Year's Day. Start with a relaxing morning of entertainment and a wonderful New Year's brunch which includes a 'First Aid Station' to help you recover from the previous night's festivities. It features a full selection of specialty Bloody Mary's, Bloody Caesars and other recuperative elixirs to help begin the New Year right. You can also enjoy watching the big games such as the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl on one of our big screens with open bars and full tailgate buffets. A great way to start the year off right!
NFL Playoffs - Throughout January
Experience the playoffs as only Dreams Resorts & Spas does - on the beach cheering for your favorite team! Lie in a lounge chair with a cold one, see the Corona cheerleaders and our world famous Beach Theatre with Dolby surround sound and a full tailgate buffet during the games!
Golden Globe Awards - January 11th
Join us on the beach for this major event! Giant screen broadcast of these awards with a red carpet arrival, all the paparazzi, champagne and hors d'oeuvres, all reminiscent of true Hollywood glamour for this special evening. Try your luck at picking all the winners in the main categories and win a variety of prizes!!!

Whale Watching - January through March
(Dreams Puerto Vallarta and Dreams Los Cabos only)
Winter season brings Grey whales to the bays of Vallarta and the Sea of Cortez. Guests staying at Dreams Puerto Vallarta or Dreams Los Cabos may have the opportunity to see these magnificent creatures right from the beaches of the resorts! These resorts are also equipped with high powered telescopes so guests can try to catch a better glimpse of these animals. Whale watching excursions and adventures, offering a more up close and personal experience, are also available for an additional cost through the tour desk.
Superbowl Sunday - February 1st
Our Superbowl party is sure to please even the most dedicated football fans! We have a thirty-foot movie theatre screen with lounge chair seating on the beach. The festivities include cheerleaders, football pools with fabulous prizes, buckets of ice cold beer and a tailgate buffet with ALL the fixings! Our Entertainment Team makes this Superbowl Party one you won't soon forget.

Probowl Sunday - February 8th
You'll have a blast at our Probowl party! Even though the season is over, there's still one more game to watch on our 30-foot movie theatre screen while enjoying the lounge chair seating on the beach. Take part in the football pools for a chance to win great prizes and feast on our fabulous tailgate buffet throughout the entire game.
Valentine's Day - February 14th
Valentine's Day is a celebration for all ages! Our Explorer's Clubs will have specially designed theme entertainment for this day including face painting, Valentine's arts & crafts, making cards for family and friends, sandcastle heart making contests, treasure hunts and a special campout in the evening. Adults can enjoy our exquisite Valentine's Day champagne brunch with roses for the ladies. Special spa packages, gift boxes, flowers and candies (at an additional cost) are available to surprise your loved one. Romantic dinner packages with choices of fine wines and champagne will also be offered for those wishing to experience this evening with the company of their true love!
President's Day - February 16th
A special feature will be included in the daily Sundials in remembrance of this important day.
Academy Awards - February 22nd
Join us as we celebrate the 81st Annual Academy Awards in style at Dreams Resorts & Spas. As you walk the red carpet to the beach, 'paparazzi' will snap your photo for a great vacation memory. The Entertainment Team will great you with champagne and hors d'oeuvres for a party under the stars and learn who's the 'best of the best' from 2008 film achievements. Special balloting allows you to choose your favorites with the possibility of winning spectacular prizes, spa treatments and goody bags.
Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday - February 24th
This fabulous and colorful day is celebrated with all-day entertainment for adults and kids including live music, dancing, parades, costume contests, a starlight beach barbeque and other surprises.
St. Patrick's Day - March 17th
Ah, the luck of the Irish cannot be forgotten while on vacation! Dreams Resorts & Spas feature a wonderful day of Irish traditions, right down to green beer, games and entertainment for all ages. The Explorer's Clubs make sure the kids will celebrate, too!
March Madness
A month full of exhilarating college basketball. Watch as the Sweet Sixteen dwindles to Elite Eight, Final Four and finally the much anticipated Championship Game. All games are broadcast live each afternoon with a full snack buffet and bar service culminating with the final Monday night match up presented on the beach at our famous oceanfront theatre.

Easter Sunday - April 12th
The Explorer's Club hosts the arrival of the Easter Bunny so all kids and their families can have their pictures taken with him. The afternoon continues with an Easter egg hunt, ice cream party and other fun games. For adults, enjoy a gourmet buffet with champagne and an evening of elegant entertainment with big screen movies on the beach.

Kentucky Derby - May 2nd
Enjoy a Mint Julep as we get gather for an exciting afternoon of horseracing, crazy games and our Most Elaborate Hat contest. This century old tradition is sure to be hoof pounding fun for everyone.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration - May 5th
You will enjoy a complete day and evening of Mexican hospitality, traditional music, exciting games, bright decorations and live entertainment. The day will be topped off with a starlit barbeque dinner on the beach including a traditional Mexican celebration featuring lots of Tequila!

Football Preseason Begins
Are you ready for some football? Dreams Resorts & Spas kicks off the season in true All-American style with our world famous Monday Night Football tailgate parties. Each Monday throughout the year our guests gather under the stars for a truly great tailgate event. Fifty-yard line lounge chair seating on the beach, huge movie theatre screen and all your favorite tailgate delicacies while you enjoy the action under nature's 'Stardome.' Does it get any better than this? Absolutely not!
September 11th Patriot Day
We will honor those lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks. A small dignified service will be held at 8:48 A.M. for those wishing to pay tribute to those lost on this tragic day in history.
Mexican Independence Day - September 15th
This is a great day to be in Mexico. Everyone shows their spirit with one giant, day-long party! Flags are flown throughout the country and adorn every vehicle. The festivities begin early and last late into the evening. While enjoying your vacation at a Dreams Resort & Spa in Mexico you won't have a lot of choice but to participate! You'll have a great time kicking up your heels with the local staff during a true Mexican Fiesta.
Baseball Playoffs
Join us at any Dreams Resort & Spa during the playoffs and you're in for a major league good time as you watch the games on the beach from your lounge chair with a full array of snacks, beer and other treats as you kick back and watch the games under the moon!
World Series - October 28th
Guests will enjoy this great American tradition on the large beachside movie screen while cheering from a lounge chair with their favorite snacks and buckets of beer!
Halloween - October 31st
Enjoy the spooky antics of this centuries old tradition. Theme parties begin early in the day with a 'scary' program for all ages. Guest can enjoy pumpkin carving, costume contests and an evening Halloween ball. The kids at the supervised Explorer's Club will be appropriately entertained all day making their own costumes then being escorted throughout the resort for 'tricks or treats' with our employee hosts. Bring your mask and costumes!
Mexican Revolution - November 20th
Practice your 'Viva Mexico' yell because you'll need it while visiting a Dreams Resort & Spa in Mexico. November 20th marks the end of the Mexican Revolution and as night falls the party begins! Dancing, drinking and great family fun are the hallmarks of this great Mexican tradition. In the late evening the party really starts rolling.
Thanksgiving Day - November 26th
We don't want you to miss all the great food and other traditions during this very special day. And don't worry you won't miss a thing! At all our resorts, fabulous Thanksgiving feasts are part of the package. The day begins with the telecast of the Thanksgiving Day parade in New York. Kids will have a blast while enjoying the many special events like turkey calling, special arts & crafts, and history lessons with live 'Pilgrims.' It all makes this a very special family holiday. As the sun sets you will enjoy a spectacular Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings including pumpkin pie and cranberries prepared by our talented chefs. We're thankful you're here and you'll be thankful you are, too!
Christmas Eve - December 24th
'Twas the night before Christmas... and the true holiday spirit is all around at Dreams Resorts & Spas. You'll experience all the holiday warmth, the colorful Christmas décor and music as you celebrate Christmas in the tropics! Children will be delighted at the arrival of Santa bringing presents and good cheer!

New Year's Eve - December 31st
It's true that all good things must come to an end. But at Dreams Resorts & Spas, the 31st of December is just the beginning. Join us as we ring in the New Year in grand tropical style. Gourmet buffet dining and dancing till dawn on the beach is the only way to truly celebrate your tropical New Year's holiday. A supervised kid's campout will keep the little ones safe and busy with their own celebration while the older folks partake in a New Year's like no other!
On January 1st it's back to the top of this schedule with the spectacular New Year's brunch (including the First Aid Recovery Station) and we get to do it all over again. No matter when you come, we promise to surpass the vacation of your Dreams.
