New Years Day/January 1
All of our resorts really know how celebrate New Years Day. Start the with a relaxing morning of entertainment and a wonderful New Years brunch which includes a “First Aid Station” to help you recover from the previous night’s festivities. It features a full selection of specialty Bloody Mary’s, Bloody Caesars and other recuperative elixirs to help begin the New Year right. You can also enjoy watching the big games such as the Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl and Cotton Bowl on one of our big screens with open bars and full tailgate buffets. A great way to start everything out!
Wild Card Weekend & Divisional Playoffs
Experience the playoffs as only AMResorts does! On the beach cheering for your favorite team while lying in a lounge chair with a bucket of beer, Corona cheerleaders and our world famous Beach Theatre with Dolby surround sound and a full tailgate buffet during the games!

SUPERBOWL SUNDAY/February 3
Our Superbowl parties must be experienced to be believed. Thirty-foot movie theatre screen with lounge chair seating on the beach — including beautiful cheerleaders and other fun and surprises. Football pools with fabulous prizes, full super deluxe tailgate buffet with ALL the fixings! Buckets of ice cold beer, new friends and more. Our Entertainment Team makes this a day you’ll be telling all your friend’s about…. and we promise, they will be envious!
Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday/February 5
This fabulous and colorful day is celebrated at all our resorts with all-day entertainment for adults and kids. Live music, dancing, parades, costume contests, a starlight beach barbeque and other surprises.
PROBOWL SUNDAY/February 10
Our PROBOWL party also attracts guests from around the globe. Just because the season is over there’s still one more game to celebrate on our 30-foot movie theatre screen with lounge chair seating on the beach. Football pools with really great prizes, Over-the-top tailgate buffet with all the extras. Beautiful cheerleaders. And lots of ice cold beer, of course. Another great event from our Entertainment Team who has (almost) as much fun as you will!
Valentines Day/February 14
Valentines is a day of celebration for all ages at all our resorts. You’ll start with an exquisite Valentines Day champagne brunch with roses for the ladies. Special spa packages, gift boxes, flowers and candies (at additional cost) are available to surprise your loved one. Romantic dinner packages with choices of fine wines and champagne are a most elegant way to begin the evening. Kid’s certainly deserve the love, too. Our supervised Explorer’s Club kid’s programs have specially designed theme events for this day including; face painting, Valentines arts & crafts, making cards for family and friends, sandcastle heart making contests, treasure hunts and a special campout in the evening. Plus, the Explorer’s Club gives mom and dad their much deserved Valentine’s Day alone-time

St. Patricks Day/March 17
Ah, we’re not about to forget the Irish on their special day. All our resorts feature a wonderful day of Irish traditions with games and entertainment for all ages. Green beer is on tap of course and all our supervise Explorer’s Clubs for kids celebrate in their special way too – minus the beer.
March MADNESS/March 20 & 22
One action packed weekend of madly entertaining good times. All games are broadcast live each afternoon with the full snack buffet and bar service culminating with the final Monday night match up presented on the beach at our famous oceanfront theatres.
Easter Sunday/March 23
The Explorer’s Clubs at all our resorts hosts the arrival of the Easter Bunny so all the kids and their families can have their pictures taken with him. The afternoon continues with an Easter egg hunt, ice cream party and other fun and games. For adults, we’ll feature gourmet buffets with champagne and an evening of elegant entertainment with giant screen movies on the beach.
April Fools Day/April 1

Earth Day/April 22
Learn how you can help protect and save our planet… and have a good time doing it.
Kentucky Derby/May 3
Enjoy a mint julep in our Sports bar as we get together for an exciting afternoon of horseracing, crazy games and our Most Elaborate Hat contest as we celebrate this 134 year old tradition. Hoof pounding fun for everyone.
Cinco de Mayo Celebration/May 5
Celebrated at all our resorts, you will enjoy a complete day and evening of Mexican hospitality, traditional music, games, bright decorations, exciting games and live entertainment. The day will be topped off with a starlight barbeque dinner on the beach including a traditional Mexican celebration which features lots of Tequila of course!
Mother’s Day/May 11
Mothers will be happily pampered with a gourmet champagne brunch and long stemmed roses. Special spa packages (at additional cost) will also be available to surprise Mom on her very special day.
Memorial Day Weekend/May 24, 25, 26
Special notice will be placed in our daily Sundial newsletter to remember those lost fighting for freedom.
Father’s Day/June 15
Dads deserve their wonderful day and they definitely get one, starting with a wonderful champagne brunch followed by fun and games throughout the day, including the chance to win a free round of golf or other great prize! Here’s to you, Dad!
American Independence day/July 4
The “fireworks” include a day of family oriented events, picnics, horseshoes and music topped off with an incredible beach barbeque under the stars and with live Rock ‘n’ Roll bands and dancing. Also includes special entertainment and activities for kids in the supervised Explorer’s Club. It culminates with a traditional fireworks show (in select resorts). A true American classic.
2008 Olympic Games /August 8
The “One World, One Dream” theme of the 2008 Olympic Games will be incorporated into all our resort programs. Your own Opening Day Ceremony will include a torch relay and participation events for adults and kids. Other supervised Explorer’s Club will feature a live TV broadcast from Beijing of the opening ceremony — shown on the beach on the big screen with live bands and dancing as we join the celebration of this worldwide event. Daily postings of results throughout the two weeks are made in our Sundials newsletter and “medal count” scoreboards at the Entertainment Centers will track the daily results. All of these events will culminate with the broadcast on the beach of the closing ceremony on the 24th of August. This is going to be an especially fun time to vacation at one of our fine world class resorts.
Football preseason begins/ ?
Are you ready for some football? Dreams kicks off the season in true All-American style with our world famous Monday Night Football tailgate parties. Each Monday throughout the year our guests gather under the stars for a truly great tailgate event. Fifty-yard line lounge chair seating on the beach, huge movie theatre screen and all your favorite tailgate delicacies while you enjoy the action under nature’s “Stardome.” Does it get any better than this? Absolutely not!
September 11th Patriot Day
All our resorts will honor those lost in the 2001 terrorist attacks. A small, dignified service will be held at 8:48 A.M. for those wishing to pay tribute to those lost on this tragic day in history.
Mexican Independence day/September 15
This is a great day to be in Mexico. Everyone shows their spirit with one giant all day party! Flags are flown throughout the country and adorn every vehicle. The festivities begin early and last late into the evening. While enjoying your vacation at a Dreams Resort & Spa in Mexico you won’t have a lot of choice but to participate! Mexico is very proud of its independence and you’ll have a great time kicking up your heels with the local staff with a true Mexican Fiesta.
Major league baseball playoffs /?
Featuring the same pizzas and fun as our Monday Night Tailgate parties, but this for the MLB playoffs. Join us at any Dreams Resort & Spa during the playoffs and you’re in for a major league good time as you watch the games on the beach from your lounge chair with a full array of snacks, beer and other treats as you kick back and watch the games under the moon!
World Series/?
The boys of summer are wrapping the season up and we’ll be “playing” too at all our resorts. Each night of the World Series guests will enjoy this great American tradition on the large beachside movie screen while cheering from a lounge chair with their favorite snacks and buckets of beer!
Halloween/October 31
Enjoy the spooky antics of this centuries old tradition at all our resorts. Theme parties begin early in the day with a “scary” programs for all ages. There is pumpkin carving, costume contests and an evening Halloween ball. The kids at the supervised Explorer’s Club will be appropriately entertained all day making their own costumes then being escorted throughout the resort for “tricks or treats” with our employee hosts. Bring your mask and costumes!
Mexican Revolution/November 20
Practice your “Viva Mexico” yell because you’ll need it while visiting a Dreams Resort & Spa in Mexico. November 20th marks the end of the Mexican Revolution and as night falls the party begins! Dancing, drinking and great family fun are the hallmarks of this great Mexican tradition. In the late evening the party really starts rolling.
Thanksgiving Day /November 27
We don’t want you to miss all the great food and other traditions during this very special day. And don’t worry — you won’t miss a thing! At all our resorts, fabulous Thanksgiving feasts are part of the package. The day begins with the telecast of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York. Kids will have a blast while enjoying the many special events like turkey calling, special arts & crafts, and history lessons with live “Pilgrims.” It all makes this a very special family holiday. As the sun sets you will enjoy a spectacular Thanksgiving feast with all the trimmings including pumpkin pie and cranberries prepared by our talented chefs. We’re thankful you’re here and you’ll be thankful you are, too!
Christmas Eve/December 24
‘Twas the night before Christmas… and the true holiday spirit is wrapped up at all our resorts during the holiday. You’ll experience all the holiday warmth, the colorful Christmas décor and music as you celebrate Christmas in the tropics! Children will be delighted at the arrival of Santa bringing presents and good cheer!

New Years Eve/December 31
It’s true that all good things must come to an end. But at Dreams Resorts & Spas, the 31st of December is just the beginning. Join us as we ring in the New Year in grand tropical style. Gourmet buffet dining and dancing till dawn on the beach is the only way to truly celebrate your tropical New Year holiday. A supervised kids campout will keep the little ones safe and busy with their own celebration while the older folks partake in a New Years like no other! One January 1st it’s back to the top of this schedule with the spectacular New Year’s brunch (including the First Aid Recovery Station) and we get to do it all again. No matter when you come, we promise to surpass the vacation of your Dreams.
